In the Ajuda Songbook (Cancioneiro da Ajuda), the only manuscript that transcribes them, these five songs (A 180-184) appear after a gap and are followed by a miniature. This means they are the work of a single and well determined author, about whose name, however, many doubts remain. In principle, it may well be João Peres de Aboim.
