Medieval minstrel
Bibliographic notes
Minstrel, maybe portuguese, that would have pursued his activity in the reign of King Denis, probably in the initial years. The existence of his surname in the portuguese documentation, as confirmed by Resende de Oliveira, and the repeated references he makes to Lisbon in his compositions seem to confirm this time and space frame. But he could equally be a galician minstrel present in the portuguese court. In any case, we don’t have any concrete data regarding his biography.Bibliographic references
